Take me out to the ballgame!

Nathan's first coach pitch game was last night. He is playing for Suntrust Bank. He got the choice of his ball number and chose #17. Not sure of his logic but it's what he wanted! His team won 11-8 and Nathan had 3 RBI's! All 3 of his hits were on the first pitch too! He did awesome! It's a blast to watch them play! They all did great!

Little Sarah needs our prayers!

A little girl Nathan went to preschool with last year is very sick. Doctors aren't sure yet whether she has a brain tumor or if it is a mass (vascular). She started vomiting and had a really bad headache last week and over the weekend they found the mass. She is at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville. A shunt was placed in her head today to relieve the pressure from her brain. More testing will be done tomorrow. Please pray for her!

UPDATE!!! 4/21/2010...Awesome news on little Sarah! Doctors saw no sign of tumor or anything vascular! He said sometimes they never know whatcaused it unless it was viral, but what happened was the cerebellumswelled and blocked the drainage of fluid. The cerebellum is still swollen so the shunt will remain until all the swelling is gone. Theysaid it could take a week or maybe longer. They will continue to runtests but she will be there until the swelling is gone. This is great news even though we don't know what caused the cerebellum to swell. Thanks to all for your many prayers!!

Carl Perkins Parade

Nathan rode in the 3rd annual Carl Perkins Bike & Trike fundraiser parade Saturday. He always has so much fun and it is such a great cause. I haven't heard how much money they raised yet but he got $51 in donations from friends & family for the organization.

Well done please!

We have been wanting a grill for a while. During the month of April Wal-Mart is giving a $50 rebate gift card with the purchase of a gas grill. So between my employee discount and the rebate we thought now would be the perfect time to get it! We cooked steaks and hot dogs tonight and they were great!

Preschool Fundraiser

Nathan is selling May Baskets for Mom for the 2nd and final year (since this is his last year at Love and Learn). We are already sold several but would like to sell more to help raise money for his school. These hanging baskets are beautiful and very big and full. You can see on the flier attached that there are several color combination's to choose from. The cost is $12 each OR 3 for $10 each. The sale ends April 30, 2010. We will deliver the flowers when they come in. They make wonderful Mother's Day gifts!!!

Welcome!

I am bad about remembering to share things with everyone so I figure if I go this route everyone has the opportunity to stay in the loop. We are so busy with work, church, baseball, outside work, etc., that I will do good to keep this thing updated so if I get a bit behind just bear with me!

Love,
Ben, Michelle, & Nate
